Jatir Mattes built his career in the furniture industry upon a strong foundation of hands-on experience. From an early age, he developed an in-depth understanding of upholstery, gaining expertise in materials, manufacturing processes, and the importance of construction quality as the cornerstone of exceptional design.

Over the course of 14 years, he worked as a prototype developer for a high-end furniture manufacturer, refining his ability to transform concepts into products by balancing technical precision, ergonomics, and production feasibility. He later earned a degree in Design, strengthening the connection between his practical industry experience and academic training.

His professional journey also includes teaching, where he shared his expertise in technical education and university programs, contributing to the development of future professionals in the furniture industry.

Today, through Vinko Design, Jatir Mates collaborates with San German as a technical design consultant, serving as the link between creative design concepts and industrial production. His work ensures that every piece faithfully preserves the original design intent while achieving the highest standards of structural integrity, comfort, functionality, and craftsmanship.
